| Indications | Butakel is indicated for the treatment of theileriosis (East Coast fever, Corridor Disease) in cattle caused by Theileria parva parva, Theileria parva bovis, Theileria parva Lawrencei, Theileria annulata, Theileria mutans and Theileria orientalis sergenti. Buparvaquone is an hydroxynaphthoquinone, active against the schizont and piroplasm stages of Theileria spp. It can be used for treatment of clinically sick animals but also for prevention during incubation in all in-contact animals before showing clinical signs. |
